The Solar House, at 3,500 square feet, assures that you won't lack for room in our comfortable, beautiful, and sunny house powered by solar panels with a conventional backup system. This former home of a Palm Springs designer is newly renovated, gorgeously furnished, and decorated with original works of art. The house has a three-car garage as well as a semi-circular drive for extra cars. Our fascinating rock and cactus garden saves both water and energy. The 33' swimming pool has an attached spa set in a backyard facing west for open and magnificent views of the San Jacinto mountains.
We are very near to the spectacular Indian Canyons Golf Resort (open to the public) and just south of the newly-expanded Smoke Tree Shopping Center. Just a few minutes away is Downtown Palm Springs with its unique shops, restaurants and night life as well as the Spa Resort Casino.

The home is located far to the south in the prestigious Canyon Country Club neighborhood, the best area in Palm Springs, which is non-windy, receives full sun, and has wide and wonderful views of the mountains from its million dollar homes. Have no fear of errant golf balls or golf carts as we are off of the fairway. Area is very quiet and far from drive-by traffic.

The backyard has a shade porch for outdoor dining and lounging, an outdoor breakfast area, and a seven-foot hedge to provide total privacy. Grab some ripe fruit from our citrus trees to squeeze your morning juice and use the outdoor shower to rinse off after a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. Outdoor dining furniture seats eight. The pool area has four lounge chairs, an outdoor conversation area and a refrigerator/wet bar.

All rooms in this house are spacious and sunny with travertine tiles or plush carpeting. The great room has a soaring cathedral ceiling, a gas fireplace, and views of the swimming pool and nearby mountains. The master bathroom is the size of a Manhattan apartment and has a sunken bath and separate walk-in shower. Both walk-in closets are the size of a normal bedroom. The other bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and spacious closets. Two roll-away beds are available to accommodate more guests.

The TV den is cool and cozy with shelves full of books and a 42" HD TV with DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with an island counter, gourmet cookware, and state-of-the-art-appliances as well as a television. The adjacent breakfast room is perfect for reading the paper. Crystal cabinet is fully stocked with wine, margarita and cocktail glasses.

Televisions with cable/HBO are in all bedrooms. Long distance calling is free and WiFi is available throughout the house. A mini-business center with printer, fax and computer connected to Broadband are available.
